HOPE is proud to present its policy brief on the issue of Legal Gender Recognition in Pakistan. This report is based on a pilot study that relies on primary data collected to highlight the main challenges faced by transgender people in accessing legal recognition in Pakistan. The objective of the report is to highlight the limitations in the legal gender recognition in Pakistan and provide policy recommendations to the State of Pakistan on how to improve the system to make it more transparent, quick, and accessible for transgender people.
